Find out more at www.midsouthwestregion.org i Enhancement of Full Fibre network in district 8OWUDIDVW ĆEUH JLJDELW EURDGEDQG LV FXUUHQWO\ being installed in 105 sites across Fermanagh and Omagh (78 Council owned sites and another 27 public sector sites) as part of the Full Fibre NI Project (FFNI). 7KHVH VLWHV ZLOO DFW DV êDQFKRUë VLWHV HQDEOLQJ WKH SRWHQWLDO IRU UROO RXW RI IXOO ĆEUH EURDGEDQG into nearby businesses and domestic premises; stretching across the district from Belleek to Rosslea and from Kinawley to the Gortin Glens. Works by contractor Fibrus started in the Autumn and will last one year. FFNI is a ten Council Consortium bid, which includes Fermanagh and Omagh District Council. FFNI secured £24m funding from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), Local Full Fibre Networks Challenge Fund to support digital infrastructure development across Northern Ireland. Approximately £4.3m is allocated to sites within our Council area.
