Consultation Process Equipment identification and selection All the actions contained within the play plan are important as they improve the quality, safety, appeal and value of play parks across the district. However, the Council will not have the resources to undertake all improvements immediately and a priority listing will assist the Council to plan its budget allocation over time. The Play Park Strategy could require up to 2030 or longer to fully implement, during which many play parks will require upgrading and repairs in this period. Priorities and Action Plan Suitable equipment will be identified and selected to provide opportunities to engage in the 10 identified play activities. Each play park will be assessed on a case by case basis for the provision of equipment. In the case of existing play parks for upgrade, equipment will be selected to complement existing equipment to be retained.
