61 Safety and risk management: Play parks with items that raise safety issues or constant repair being the number one priority; Inclusivity and accessibility: need to provide equitable access and inclusivity to children with a disability to play parks, in line with the Disability Discrimination Act; The need to address gaps in rural provision , such as a lack of play parks in areas that are currently not well catered for; The hierarchy level of the play park , with higher priority generally being given to Destination and Neighbourhood Equipped Areas of Play on the basis that these playgrounds should draw from a wider catchment and benefit a larger number of people in the community; The ‘Play Value’ score as identified by the independent consultant and confirmed by the Play Plan Delivery Team; and The value and use of the area where the play park is located , with higher priority generally being given to areas of higher use or have the potential to attract larger numbers of users. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.
