62 The Council shall take into consideration development plans to ensure that the provision of play parks is future proofed. Consultation and liaison will be undertaken with the Planning Service and also consider potential 3rd party provision of play parks under current Planning Policy. Furture proofing and development The programme for delivery based on the time constraints for construction (late Spring to early Autumn) and capacity of the current industry to deliver will be 2021-2030. Programme Community and key stakeholder consultation; Establishment and delivery of new play parks, play parks for upgrade and transformation; A prioritisation of work to establish a clear programme of work; Equipment identification and selection for each play park; Investigation of potential partnerships with other Bodies; Consultation with Planning Service to consider futureproofing with development plans and potential 3rd party provision of play parks under Planning Policy; and To present regular progress reports to Council. The Council shall ensure that a dedicated specialist team will be established to develop and deliver a sustainable action plan to be known as the Play Plan The Play Plan delivery team will establish a clear rationale for the identification of the location of all new play parks and play parks for upgrade and transformation on the basis and principles of this Strategy. The Play Plan delivery team will undertake: The Play Plan will be delivered within the period of the Community Plan 2030. Principle 7: Play plan and delivery The Council will explore opportunities with these authorities with a view of potentially entering into formal agreements with conditions to provide play parks in line with this strategy.
