Omagh is the County Town of Tyrone and provides a strong retail and commercial centre for the area, with a dedicated Visitor Information Centre located in the Strule Arts Centre. Population: 19,695 (2011 Census) Marketing Explore Omagh and The Sperrins is the vehicle for marketing The Sperrins on behalf of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council. It is managed by Fermanagh Lakeland Tourism. Sperrins Partnership Project The Sperrins Partnership Project is a 4 council led project (Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Derry City & Strabane District Council, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council and Mid Ulster District Council) with the aim to preserve, enhance and manage the natural, built and cultural heritage of The Sperrins region. A Sperrins Future Search conference was held in September 2017 and brought together a group of key stakeholders to create an action plan for the future of The Sperrins Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) summed up in the words ‘reaching new heights, realising our potential’.
