3.10 New Experience Development Today's visitor is motivated by the desire to really connect with a place, its culture and people. Creating unforgettable visitor experiences allows us to connect with, engage and surprise our visitors by delivering life-changing moments that inspire visitors to not only share their experience with others, but to also make themwant to return. In 2019, TourismNI launched a new experience brand Northern Ireland - Embrace a Giant Spirit. This brand sits under Tourism Ireland’s all-Ireland brand and is marketed globally along the other island of Ireland experience brands. A number of brand aligned visitor experiences have been developed across the district in recent years (See map & Key) with two of those experiences Hands on Belleek and Island Discovery used as brand demonstrators at World Travel Market 2019. With a detailed understanding of the travel motivations, values and interests of target visitors, we can grow our market share through more effective experience development and targeted marketing. There are a range of visitor experiences being developed in the district or are at the stages of delivery at the time of this plan being developed. The main programmes and initiatives are mapped with further details of each programme summarised below.
