2022-2032 Vistitor Experience Development Plan

Omagh and The Sperrins Visitor Experience Development The proposed investment comprises a series of projects which will enhance the accessibility of the natural resource of The Sperrins and Gortin Forest providing Greenways linking Omagh town centre with the key attraction at the Ulster American Folk Park and Omagh with Gortin Glen Forest Park. This investment will support Omagh’s role as a hub to service the wider visitor opportunities in the South Sperrins area and support visitor dispersal across a range of nearby visitor sites. Opportunities to explore the concept of extending the ‘Giants of the Sperrins’ theme through Gortin Glen Forest Park to create a family attraction and encourage longer stays in the area alongside improving visitor access and infrastructure at Gortin Lakes will also be considered.
