53 Fermanagh Lakelands & Omagh and The Sperrins Governance and Management of implementation Ref Actions Recommended Best Ideas to Achieve Y1-2 Y3-6 Y7-10 1.1 Establish Tourism Partnership Scope and identify preferred option for management and delivery of tourism function Review and identify options to establish a Tourism Partnership to drive forward and oversee delivery of VEDP Actions Review and identify options for delivery of the Council’s tourism function including options for destination management, marketing and promotion taking account of the changing policy and funding landscape 1.2 Establish an industry engagement model Establish networks and facilitate an ongoing programme of events focused on intelligence, trends, capacity building and engagement - clusters / tourism networks programme to improve relationships, marketing and selling opportunities, economies of scale, selling the 'Destination', selling to trade, skills development etc 1.3 Investigation of a cluster development facilitator approach Similar approach to the work underway in Glens and Strangford Lough clusters. 1.4 Develop stakeholder engagement plan Identify key stakeholders and develop an associated targeted communications strategy, and road testing of development ideas and de-risking 1.5 Support the development of access to the Island of Ireland Support and influence policy and strategy through providing evidential detail on the value of Out Of State visitors to the region. Facilitate opportunities presented through Ireland's Hidden Heartland and collaborative opps with Failte Ireland, Shared Island Fund, Peace Plus, Cross Border Intl Geopark, etc. 1.6 Develop and deliver a long term investment strategy for the region Appropriate investment that stimulates demand and leverages public sector delivery. Should also identify collaborative funding opportunities, audit of current investment programmes such as Mid SouthWest Growth deal, Shared Island, Peace Plus, Complementary and Levelling Up etc
