4 Age Friendly Strategy and Action Plan This is the second Age Friendly Strategy for the Fermanagh and Omagh District (FODC) and builds on the work of the previous strategy. It has been developed to place our older people at the centre of an Age Friendly society, ensuring local voices are heard and supported to remain healthy, active and connected in their District and community. The plan recognises the eight Age Friendly domains set out by the World Health Organisation and has been developed following extensive consultation and conversation with older people and service providers. It recognises that Age Friendly initiatives impact across a range of areas including transport, housing, community participation, health and wellbeing. Introduction
