Lone Pensioner Allowance If you are the Ratepayer and are aged 70 or over and live alone, you may be entitled to a discount of 20% on your rates with Lone Pensioner Allowance. Lone Pensioner Allowance is not means tested, so we won’t ask you to provide information about your income and savings. If you are eligible, you can make an application at any time during the rating year.
