Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is celebrating 10 years of service, partnership and progress. Established on 1 April 2015 as part of Local Government Reform, the Council has worked with communities, partner organisations, Elected Members and staff to enhance the social, economic and environmental wellbeing of the District. Over the past decade, the Council has played a central role in promoting equality, sustainability and opportunity for all. From supporting local businesses and creating new spaces for recreation, to protecting our rich natural environment, the Council’s work has helped shape a vibrant and resilient District. Its continued investment in infrastructure, culture and tourism has strengthened community connections and created new opportunities for growth and innovation. We recently celebrated over 130 inspiring young achievers, whose talents and dedication bring pride to our District. Their success stories reflect the Council’s ongoing commitment to nurturing young people and providing them with platforms to excel, whether in sport, the arts, entrepreneurship or civic leadership.
