10 Good Relations Programme 2021/2022 YOUTH IN ACTION PROJECT Improving attitudes between young people from different backgrounds is the ethos of programmes for children and young people. Programmes such as ‘Youth in Action’ provide young people with the confidence to be the next generation of youth leaders and lead the way in addressing sectarianism, racism and discrimination. Twenty-seven young people participated in the programme which included an online Developing Leadership Skills training, a face-to-face Mental Health workshop, Community Sports Leadership training, film-making skills training and a cross-border football tournament involving two guest teams. The programme concluded with a Chair’s Reception to celebrate the participants’ achievement of accredited qualifications. During the programme, the participants had the opportunity to meet football stars which added to the enjoyable experience.
