PositiveAgeingMonthBooklet_October2022

As part of Positive Ageing Month, keeping your body active is vital to staying healthy and well in later years. We know any form of movement is good for us, and staying active will keep muscles and bones strong, and reduce the risk of falls. Physical activity will also improve sleep, maintain healthier weight and manage stress. Walking is the perfect form of exercise to help achieve this and we encourage you as part of Positive Ageing Month to take part in a ‘Step Challenge’ supported by the WHSCT Health Improvement, Equality and Involvement department. All you have to do is go to www.publichealth.hscni.net and search ‘Step Challenge’ to get a copy of the step challenge outline. Complete it throughout the month of October and at the end of the month submit it to health.improvement@westerntrust.hscni.net to be in with a chance of winning a prize.
