Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 September European Heritage Open Day The theme for this year’s European Heritage Open Day (EHOD) is ‘The Art of Sharing’ which presents an opportunity to share our heritage stories through our local buildings and their connections to location and people. This will be explored through a number of exciting events and activities including walking tours and family events. One highlight of the weekend is the Relating Histories bus trip. Relating Histories hopes to explore two historic graveyards at Old Cappagh and Drumragh in Omagh engaging people with the hidden heritage of the sites and the wider area through guided tours and onsite events. EHOD 2018 will also be a highlight of the European Year of Cultural Heritage, an initiative of the European Commission, to promote a greater awareness of our shared cultural heritage.
