ASPIRE Recognition Booklet(5)

As Chair of Fermanagh & Omagh District Council I am delighted to congratulate all participants of the ASPIRE Employability Programme from 2021 – 2022. As we mark the close of Year 4 Call 2 of the programme I am delighted to confirm that the Council has secured funding for a further year, meaning ASPIRE will be able to assist more people into full time employment up until March 2023. Year 4 of Call 2 of ASPIRE has been another highly successful year with over 200 new participants benefitting from what the programme has on offer. To date 131 of Year 4 Call 2 leavers have moved into paid employment, with many others gaining from the variety of training and work experience opportunities provided by the project, employers and partner organisations. I would like to take the opportunity to thank them all for their incredible contribution over the past year, despite the challenges arising from the ongoing pandemic. The ASPIRE Employability Programme is part funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Department for the Economy (DfE). It is led by Fermanagh & Omagh District Council and partnered by the Education Authority (Western Region) and Western Health & Social Care Trust, (WHSCT). The ASPIRE delivery partner, Fermanagh Rural Community Initiative (FRCI), ensures the consistent provision of a quality programme in the Fermanagh area. On behalf of Fermanagh & Omagh District Council I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all ASPIRE participants on their achievements during the last year and I wish them continued success in all they do. 2 ASPIRE March 2021- April 22 Councillor Errol Thompson Fermanagh & Omagh District Council Chair
